The FIRST person to meld chooses 1 card in their original meld for their opponent to need in their first meld. (EX. The FIRST card that comes up each hand, is what you will need in your initial meld. So for example, the first card is a 4, then you will need 4's in your initial meld. DWARVES NTC

Your must meld a dwarf in your first meld. Dwarves are 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10. To make canastas you must meld natural Queens (WILDS ON QUEENS IS DQ). Once you can make canastas, your first canasta must be a DWARF. YOU CAN NEVER CANASTA JACKS KINGS OR ACES! Make a natural in Queens and it is Auto Win. Continue playing you lose the auto win.
